SECRETS OF COLOR: THE POWER OF BLUE

The fifth color in the spectrum is blue. We have now left the heating colors and are upwards to the cooling, contracting ones such as this particular color (blue) along with indigo and violet. These rays have a soothing, narcotic and antiseptic action. Sedatives, antiseptics, and narcotics contain much of these colors; narcotic flowers are blue and purple; blackberries are valued for their astringent qualities.
